Professional Indemnity Trading Underwriter
Full Job Description
As a Professional Indemnity Trading Underwriter you`ll review and underwrite cases for negotiation, and support allocated cases to achieve business development and retention targets.
It`s a hybrid role: part underwriting, part sales, managing, renewing and developing relationships.
You`ll work independently within a team environment - giving you control of your results, including ownership of your own panel of brokers - using your relationship management and communication skills to work closely with other parts of the Professional Financial Risks (ProFin) Trading team to deliver unprecedented service.
Responsibilities:
Identifying opportunities and securing new business
Reviewing allocated cases (including large-complex cases) and delivering underwriting decisions
Contributing to the development of segment and local customer propositions and sales plans
Leading or contributing to technical audits and peer reviews
Developing and managing business relationships to provide a quality underwriting service
In-depth Professional Indemnity Underwriting experience
Experience of DO, Personal Accident and-or Crime Underwriting would be an asset
Experience of working directly with Brokers and in Account Management
