Investment management products and services is a core offering within J.P. Morgan Private Banking. It offers the full spectrum of investment strategies - from equity, cash management, fixed income, currency and asset allocation to alternative asset classes such as private equity, real estate and hedge funds. These strategies are delivered to clients in a variety of structures, including fund and fund wrappers.
The Private Bank Global Funds platform is a multi-fund platform that provides pooled investment solutions to Private Banking clients around the globe. This platform comprises 540 funds with approximately $45 billion in assets under management.
Description of Group
The Portfolio Management Servicing Group is an area with a specific focus on Portfolio Management, Investor and Product support functions within the investments business. With globally focused investment solutions, the team looks to provide coverage across a wide range of regional jurisdictions, investment vehicles and asset classes.
Description of Position
The Portfolio Management Servicing Specialist will be responsible for managing the day to day operations and functions to support the IPB's fund complex; which includes regulated and unregulated investment vehicles (such as UCITS regulated Luxemburg SICAVs and UK OEICs, Irish QIFs and other solutions).
While working closely with the Portfolio Managers (PM), this group is a central point of contact for middle offices, operations and other internal and external support groups, providing the first level of operational BAU support for the International Funds' Complex. The members of the group:
- Supervise daily PM support activities from post-portfolio trading to settlement activities such as trade booking, trade confirmation, cash and position reconciliation.
- On-board all approved new underlying investments across the Platform e.g. Mutual Funds, Alternative UCITS and Structured Products; monitor and alert the PM of all upcoming portfolio investment related events such as underlying investment deadline notifications, hedging contract expirations, etc.
- Proactively identify and implement changes required to the PM function, in conjunction with team leader
- Monitor and oversee the execution of tasks carried out by internal or external support groups through Key Performance Indicators and Management Information Systems.
- Based in the London office with heavy working interactions across global offices.

- Have the ability to understand processes and be able to map out requirements and end-to-end assessments with the goal of identifying gaps.
- Strong organizational and process oriented skill set.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think on their feet and be able to apply critical thinking logical/structured framework to situations such as business case development and issues resolution.
- Strong trouble-shooting and stakeholder management skills.
- Financial services background - particularly in investments with broad knowledge of asset classes preferred. Knowledge of regulated funds a plus.
- High attention to detail and solid analytical skills, especially with Excel, PowerPoint and Word documents.
- Multi-task and juggle multiple initiatives at once, but stay on top of all initiatives so as to deliver on time and in set scope; quick on feet and able to change direction quickly.
- Superior English written verbal communication skills and ability to interface with various groups in the organization from Portfolio Managers, Third Party Fund Administrators, Middle Office and Operations.
- Additional languages are an advantage.
- Solid history of superior personal achievement in school and work; Bachelors degree from an accredited, high quality institution is required.
- Genuine interest in capital markets, investment products, and private banking.
- Strong recommendations at the appropriate time.
