Description
- S/he is responsible for the coordinated management of multiple related projects, and in many cases, ongoing operations which are directed toward a common objective. S/he works with constituent Project Managers (who are responsible to the Program Manager for the execution of their project and its impact on the program) to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects and operations, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the program. S/he is responsible for determining and coordinating the sharing of resources among their constituent projects to the overall benefit of the program.
- Responsible for stakeholder management particularly stakeholders external to the organization. Facilitates Steering Committee and regular program team status meetings and all other communications. All team members within the program take direction from the Program Manager for the duration of the project. The Program Manager is accountable for the overall management and delivery of the program on behalf of business, operations and IT.
- Maintain an understanding of the company's businesses in the region and how they work. Understand the region's needs and identify and help to appropriately address relevant information, and other risks controls. Translate identified risk control gaps to actionable remediation projects.
- Proactively understand proposed risk mitigation and control impacts to the region in order to address those impacts and effectively mitigate the known risks. Be responsible for the governance of regional risks.
- Support the businesses in the region in executing IRM tasks correctly and in a timely manner as well as in applying the correct policies, methods, standards, tools and processes. Also ensure that Global IRM policies/standards/processes are appropriate for the region.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or related discipline
- 7-10 years related experience. In-depth knowledge of IRM risks and controls to mitigate them.
- Master level experience and understanding of system development methodologies. Experience managing vendors and contracts as components of a program. Advanced degree preferred. Project Management Institute Project Management Certification (PMP) and Program Management Professional (PgMP) preferred.
- Responsible for risk assessments in the region. Prior experience managing strategic and/or cross-organizational projects and planning and tracking multiple complex projects or programs required. Must have experience coordinating work across multiple disciplines or organizations and be adept at building consensus across organizational and functional lines.
