Project Manager
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for managing projects to deliver business change in a controlled manner across the organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
DELIVER:
· Responsible for the successful delivery of all assigned projects according to agreed success criteria
· Responsible for adherence to defined project management methodologies and standards
LEAD:
· Proactively drive a high performance culture within project teams
· Provide project management support and advice to all divisions of the organisation.
SHAPE:
· Identify, record and highlight risks and recommend solutions
· Create and maintain project documentation, plans, meetings and status reporting
BUILD:
· Maintain effective project communication with all relevant parties, e.g. Sponsor, project team, business partners, external suppliers, regulatory bodies etc
· Actively collate and communicate feedback and lessons learned to the project management team and wider organisation
INNOVATE:
· Work with project teams to define solutions to project issues
· Work with the project management team to suggest and implement improvements to the project management methodologies
RISK MANAGEMENT:
· Champion, lead, monitor and embed a culture of strong internal control and risk management throughout your areas of responsibility
· Ensure that control deficiencies and risk impacts are escalated so that root cause analysis can be performed and remedial actions taken
· Comply with the information security policy and procedures
· Comply with all regulatory procedures applicable to the role
· Report any information security incident, weakness or malfunction
· Within relevant areas of business, embed and lead culture where applicable with Treating Customers Fairly objectives and outcomes
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
· Experience of managing multi-disciplinary projects with, for example, business partners, technology, new products, legislative or regulatory change etc
· Evidence of robust understanding of project management methodologies
· History of delivering successful projects within a defined governance framework
· Strong conceptual understanding (and ideally practical experience) of IS and the systems development lifecycle
Recognised project management qualification
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
· Commercial work experience within a Financial Services related environment
· Understanding and experience of software project delivery utilising an agile methodology
· Experience in overseas markets
