Project Manager - Financial Reporting Change - £750 per day
My client is seeking an exceptional Project Manager to join one of the largest and most strategic transformation programmes in the financial services industry at present. The overall programme focuses on reducing the financial reporting risk and improving data quality across the whole enterprise.
The Financial Reporting Change Programme is a strategic priority with a mandate to comply, implement and globally embed the numerous mandatory changes to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) by their effective dates. This includes financial instruments classification and measurement, how to fair value, impairment, consolidation, revenue recognition, offsetting, hedge accounting, leasing and insurance. Most standards also require significant additional disclosure.
To be successful within this role, you will be; A qualified accountant; from a finance control background; able to demonstrate a broad product knowledge; have an in-depth understanding of IFRS change, in particular legal entity consolidation; able to demonstrate core project management skills within a large investment bank and have an appreciation of business architecture.
