Project Manager, Fixed Income
This role will focus on supporting a single programme of work to comprehensively review the Fixed Income division.
The work of this individual will focus upon the Fixed Income business therefore an appreciation of bonds, swaps, fx and derivatives will be extremely valuable.
Adaptability in skill set is also required so experience in PMO and project management would be a distinct advantage.
There will be a significant audit focus to this project so excellent structure, reporting and PMO approach will be necessary. The individual will be required to work under pressure and produce deliverables under strict deadlines.
In addition, interaction with the COOs and senior business representatives will be required, therefore a strong communication style and someone who can be forthright and challenge response is key.
Experience of regulatory audits and exposure to control functions would also be useful.
Likely tasks in the this role will include but not be limited to the following:
- Produce a weekly update report and monthly Project Status report
- Size effort of tasks and continuously review progress, priority, ownership and delivery
- Review, collate, maintain and highlight changes to project plans
- Assess priorities, dependencies and risks of slippage
- Perform project governance reviews – ensuring that each deliverable meets minimum audit requirements and has been through the agreed review and control process
Candidate:
- Sector Experience; Fixed Income, as an internal or external agent of change initiation or change delivery
- Or Financial Services sector experience as a management consultant having spanned multiple clients and subjects held in high regard
- Should be conversant with terminologies concepts relating to Front Office products (e.g., Foreign Exchange, Rates, Distressed Products, Emerging Markets, Swaps, Bonds, Collateral, Clearing).
- Regulatory knowledge; should be aware of current regulations impacting investment banking
- Operating Model Risk/Control experience.
