The Role:
We seek a strong Quantitative Developer for a team producing high quality, Financial Modeling software for the financial markets based in New York. We have a comprehensive and innovative product employing "cutting edge" solutions and technologies. The candidate will be working within a team of approximately 20 Quantitative Analyst and Computer Scientist professionals developing software libraries implementing numerical analysis applied to the valuation and risk management of derivative securities. The role demands fluency in practical mathematics, expert software design/implementation skills together with highly effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions and team/project management.
Qualifications:
- At a minimum, 3-5 years exposure to the financial markets, specifically the derivative markets and its software products (i.e. trading systems, structuring tools, risk management applications).
- Masters Degree in Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science required.
- A demonstrable record of delivering quality software.
- Experience in symbolic computation and/or functional programming or willingness to learn is key.
- Expertise in C/C++ programming and must be skilled in a variety of operating systems, scripting languages and building systems.
- Advocate for Continuous Integration, testing and modern software engineering practices, including peer reviews and technical documentation.
- PhD is advantageous, but not mandatory.
