RAN Design Engineer Job in Berkshire, Home Counties UK
RAN Design Engineer required for work in the UK
Responsibilities
-Act as technical lead on RAN design project to introduce NSN RU30, co-ordinate activities and drive the technical delivery across the different design teams
-Capture design requirements at customer facing meetings
-Define, plan and co-ordinate the Test, Trial and FOA of UTRAN design solutions in customer test facilities and production network, in association with test and trial teams
-Design of RRM, Power Control and mobility features as required per software release
-Gap and impact analysis of change on existing systems e.g capacity and KPI performance
Skills Required:
-Minimum of 7 years in RAN Design
-In depth working knowledge of 3G UTRAN, NSN RAN - RU20 and RU30
-Knowledge of ATM Iub and IP Iub
-Knowledge / design experience of LTE and transport network design for LTE
-Solid experience of deriving impacts of 3G applications on Handset Radio and vice versa-
Excellent understanding of 3GPP Radio Architecture, Radio Resource Management and effect on Terminals
