My client is looking for an individual to join the group responsible for the production of Monthly/Quarterly data feeds and returns primarily to the Group Accountants for external reporting to international regulators.
The group also supports new business and continuous improvement initiatives in conjunction with with the Finance Projects and Business as Usual teams.
This is a great opportunity to be involved in reporting, control and projects across a global networks of finance teams and external clients. This role offers a broad platform to develop in the control space.
Responsibilies include:
- Testing of key controls performed by other members of the team in compliance with SOX
- Decision making exercises to suggest improvements on control and reporting processes
- Compile and submit interface feeds containing Spot Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss information for the various legal entities
- Review above data in the format of returns: Balance Sheet and Profit Loss, performing key controls by investigating material and unusual movements and addressing data issues with other functions both internal/external to Finance.
- Liaising with other functions internal/external to Finance, carry out analysis of valid movements in reporting lines to provide business explanations to questions raised by senior management and regulators.
- Perform controls and reconciliations to prove completeness, data integrity and consistency in the feeds and within and between the various returns
- Reconcile data to the Financial Accounts controlled by Product Control and Central Statutory Reporting functions, ensuring resolution of breaks which cannot be explained to specific differences.
Requirements:
- Part Qualified Accountant, Finance or Banking background
- At least 2 years experience within financial services
- Prior experience in Regulatory Reporting essential
