RELIABILITY TECHNICIAN

 

The Oak Grove facility will consist of two PC units, with a cumulative net capacity of 1,600,000 kw and will fire locally produced lignite coal.

 

Responsibilities and duties included but are not limited to:

·         Providing support to plant to ensure reliability, availability, and functionally of all plant assets maintaining the safest and most cost effective methods to support plant objectives

·         Provide the functional expertise for field implementation of a strong reliability and lubrication program, including the monitoring of process equipment (including mechanical, electrical and instrument / control equipment) performance

·         Participates in reliability studies of existing equipment and works closely with Reliability Supervisor to implement philosophies, strategies and best practices for asset productivity

·         Experience with RCM and CBM to include one or more of the following:

Ø  Collect field measurements and observations as part of the equipment maintenance strategy development.

Ø  Maintain historical information of measurements and observations for equipment

Ø  Analyze equipment trends, historical data, and field data to recommend near term repair strategies for specific equipment pieces.

Ø  Perform lubrication and hydraulic oil sample collection and send out for analysis.

Ø  Collect analyze vibration and thermography data and make recommendations for abnormal conditions.

Ø  Understand tools like Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Risk Based Inspections (RBI) Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and other reliability techniques and how they are used to monitor and improve equipment and performance.

Ø  Apply practices and principles of physical failure analysis to collect information to support determination of root cause of equipment failures.

Ø  Proven strong contributor with the capability to work independently

Ø  Understands and supports the Safety Management process.

Job Requirements:

Job Qualifications:

·         High School Diploma or Equivalent

·         5-7 years of fossil power plant experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance

·         Good computer skills with experience in computer maintenance management systems

·         Good interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills

·         Good organizational, communication and presentation skills
