The primary purpose of this position is to prepare reports or files for health plan clients, internal clients and state regulators with consistency and accuracy.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

·     Queries and/or prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports based on internal and external client expectations as well as regulatory specifications.

·     Queries and generates ad-hoc reports for internal and external customers.

·     Formats data using customer preferred file layout.

·     Queries and/or analyzes system data on a routine basis to ensure data integrity.

·     Analyzes and prepares files for uploading to system tables.

·     Responsible for sending reports and responding to inquiries for internal and external customers.

·     Meets all reporting turnaround times or negotiated turnaround times.

·     Analyzes and develops report criteria, determines reporting methodologies in accordance with mutually agreed upon criteria with Management.

·     Analyzes and translates end-user requirements into written report specifications.

·     Performs report testing, documents results, and makes recommendations.

·     Conducts quality review and approval of scheduled and ad hoc reports.

·     Evaluates recurring reporting issues, researches trends, makes recommendations to Management, and updates queries as necessary. 

·     Organizes, tracks and archives information and reports.

·     Analyzes efficiency of current processes, makes recommendations and streamlines/automates processes.

·     Recognizes unique and problem situations within areas of assigned responsibility.  Researches and formulates solutions and presents to Management.

·     Create end-user documentation where possible.

·     Performs ongoing maintenance to existing queries and documentation.

·     Maintains working knowledge in areas of assigned responsibility, including but not limited to ASH operational processes, data structure and content of ASH proprietary systems, and advanced query techniques.

Requirements:

Education/Training/Experience/Licenses

·     Associate of Arts degree or equivalent experience.

·     At least two years experience performing word processing, spreadsheets, and report generation.  In addition, experience in querying databases required.

·     Proficient in all MS Office applications, including MS SQL, Access, Excel, and Word.

·     Experience in managed health care preferred.

·     Experience with ASH processes and systems a plus.

Mobility: Primarily sedentary, able to sit for long periods of time. 

 

Physical Requirements: Ability to speak, see and hear other personnel and/or objects.  Ability to communicate both in oral and written form. Ability to travel within the facility. Capable of using a telephone and computer keyboard.  Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. 

 

Environmental Conditions: Usual office setting.
