An opportunity exists for a Research Associate to join the ASEAN Oils Utilities team based in Singapore. The role will entail an understanding of companies in oil gas, refining, chemicals and utilities space in ASEAN countries and putting them in perspective from a global context. The role will require the candidate to support the Analyst in database management, financial modeling analysis, client presentations, understanding Thai based press releases / disclosures and research report writing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and maintaining earnings models leveraging skills in accounting, finance and economics
- Keeping abreast of ASEAN oil gas industry-related news flow
- Researching and writing reports with a company or sector specific focus
- Responding to requests for data and information from internal and external clients
- Assisting in the design and preparation of analyst marketing strategy and materials
Skills Required:
- Strong Analytical / Financial Skills
- Must have financial modeling or financial industry experience with strong writing skills
- Fluency in reading Thai necessary, ability to speak Thai an advantage
- First rate verbal and written English language communication skills essential
- Quick learner with structured mind-set and accountability
- Proactive and hard-working
- Strong focus on coordination and teamwork
