Risk Finance Director
Our client, a top US banking organization, is seeking a talented Risk Finance Director for it's San Francisco, CA office. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the Risk Group forecasting and budget planning cycles, monthly financial analysis and accounting closing and providing financial leadership in due diligence and strategic planning.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Lead the organization in the continual improvement of the balance sheet and forecasting process through collaboration other department heads
- Strategize with senior management on opportunities to optimize risk-weighted returns
- Establish long range goals and performance measures for the Risk Group.
- Management reporting oversight including actionable analysis and active partnership with business leaders.
- Initiate continuous improvement in forecasting process and systems across the Risk Group.
- Coordinate the gathering of information for SEC reporting, regulatory reporting and management reporting.
- Coordinate quarterly business review sessions for Risk Group overall and individual Risk Functions
Experience and Skill requirements include:
- Must have held a similar position with a similar sized entity and be capable of managing a large team of both direct and indirect reports.
- Solid and extensive knowledge of the Financial Services industry with strong understanding of the final statements and financial performance analysis
- 8-15 years experience in forecasting and budget planning cycles in a financial institution.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee Group-wide management reporting, forecasting and budgeting process
- Strong written and spoken communication skills and comfort interfacing with all levels of management
- Strong qualitative and quantitative skills; detailed oriented with the ability to see the big picture
- BA / BS in Finance, Business or Accounting or equivalent work experience;
- MBA, CFA or CPA strongly preferred
