Risk Manager (Insolvency and Investment Risk) recruitment

The Pension Protection Fund (PPF) is a public body created to provide, for the first time, a real level of security in retirement for millions of UK pension scheme members. 

We have an opportunity for a self-motivated and innovative individual to join our Risk Practice. You will take the lead in insolvency risk management for the Risk Practice which includes building and maintaining a clear understanding of off-balance sheet risks arising from insolvency events.

Managing the Risk Analyst team on a day-to-day basis, you will support the understanding, review and challenge of the investment approach and support the development and maintenance of the investment risk library.

With a degree, or equivalent, in Economics and/or Finance, you will be an experienced economist or financial analyst with proven knowledge of investment products. An effective manager with excellent communication and leadership skills, you will have an understanding of financial markets and credit rating methodology, along with strong IT skills. An investment/risk qualification (e.g. CFA/FRM/PRM) would be an added advantage.
