Sales Manager

Sales Manager - Connection Technologies - Highly Flexible Couplings - In Houston, TX or York, PA

Voith Turbo is seeking a person for the Promotion, sales, and engineering tasks as they relate to the Connection Technology, project development, in North America.  This includes assisting in design integration, project planning, vendor interface, project coordination, sales and field service support.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

§         Provide information and analysis for sales and technical developments for the product line in cooperation with Product Group management.

§         Support the product line through sales calls at OEM’s, end users and consultants, with the required effort to chase and win projects to grow the business unit

§         Provide engineering assistance, technical and product presentations.  Establish and review on an annual basis agreed targets for the product line

§         Provide sales and marketing information as required; develop business plans, sales plans, and forecasts

§         Experience in sales of high dollar value capital equipment or components

§         Good interpersonal skills; ability to build and maintain successful customer relations

§         Willingness to travel on a regular basis throughout North America with occasional international travel

§         Preparedness to work the occasional weekend as the job function requires, for instance exhibition attendance

§         Special projects as assigned by management

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

              EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

§         ME Degree of 4-year college or university and/or experience

§         3+ years experience in a sales or project environment in dealing directly with customers preferred

 

              SKILLS REQUIRED

§         Good knowledge of mechanical equipment with some knowledge of electrical equipment ideal

§         Strong communication skills

§         Ability to work with Microsoft Office suite

§         Ability to read and interpret scientific/technical drawings and documentation, commercial terms and conditions, and customer specifications

§         Strong technical background with good understanding of mechanical systems, especially mechanical drive systems

§         Willingness to travel extensively throughout North America
