Senior Accountant
Summary: This position is responsible for supporting the accounting operations of Tyco's U.S corporate function. This includes responsibility for the day to day general accounting operations, participating in process improvement initiatives and providing support to internal/external customers.
This position will also play a role refining various post Center of Excellence transformation aspects, with an emphasis on improving the monthly closing process and the work streams supporting it.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for monthly close process of several accounts on various ledgers.
· Timely reconciliation of general ledger accounts within Tyco guidelines using Blackline.
· Active participation delivering monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements for submission to Tyco's consolidation team.
· Assist in maintaining relevant financial reports to aid in the review of the monthly close and preparation of other management reports.
· Assist in preparation of the Controllership package (twice a quarter).
· Support any ad hoc activities resulting from the pending separation.
· Interface with corporate functions and outside customers to ensure their and Tyco's requirements are in sync to ensure a timely close and accurate results.
· Participate in current intercompany process.
· Maintenance and supporting documentation of SOX controls for selected areas.

Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other business related field
CPA Certification Preferred
Experience:
· 3-5years experience in accounting.
· The candidate must demonstrate ability to identify and implement process improvements, be a self-starter, and effectively interact and communicate across multiple organizations/functions.
· The candidate must be comfortable dealing with accounting matters and demonstrate basic knowledge of US GAAP, current accounting regulations and internal controls.
· The candidate must have strong communication (oral and written) and relationship building skills.
· Experience with Oracle ERP ledger systems is preferred
· Experience with Hyperion Enterprise is preferred
· Experience with Blackline account reconciliation software is preferred.
