Provides statistical support to research laboratories, especially in the area of assay validation and qualification. Interacts with lab personnel to identify opportunities to add value, advises on design of experiments, and analyzes data to assess assay performance. Will need to communicate effectively with scientists, management, and regulatory personnel in both verbal and written form. Provides general statistical support to other pre-clinical projects as needed. Independently conducts research on statistical methodology and collaborates on publication of research. Maintains technical skills and increases own knowledge of new methods or areas of applications by reading journals and attending professional society meetings.
