We are currently working with a global leading commodities trading house based in Singapore, who are currently seeking an experienced physical coal sales trader to lead their operations and build up a team for the region. This offers the opportunity for the incumbent to build up a business and play a leading role within the company and ultimately lead the region. The position requires 7+ years working experience in the commodity industry, including physical and derivative trading experience. Must also have experience in the Chinese markets and have a strong network of clients.

• Physical Coal Trading (Thermal Coal, Steam Coal, Coking Coal, APCI, Iron Ore)
• Import and Originate Coal – Sell to Chinese Domestic Market
• Build up and establish a successful desk
• Fundamental analysis Exposure to risk Management
• Entrepreneurial approach desire for success
• Independent thinker / Go-Getter
• Willing to go the extra mile and engage in all areas of the trading
• Well established contacts within the Chinese / Asian markets.
• Full Accountability for the Chinese Coal business, with view to expand into other commodities.
• Profitable PnL track record – Run your own book.
• 7+ years trading experience
• Must speak fluent Mandarin and English.
• Must be currently based in Singapore or China (Beijing).
• Must have desire to create a business with a long term approach.
