Our client is one of the world's most established commodities company with significant presence in Asia Pacific. Due to continued growth, it is now seeking a dynamic manager to join its finance team, based in Singapore.
Managing a team, you will lead the controllership function for a key desk, directly managing the relationship with the desk head. You will ensure provision of independent, timely, and accurate valuation of trading book position, exposure, performance data and analysis, as well as ensure compliance in line with company accounting policy, US GAAP and Singapore regulatory reporting requirements.You will also drive continuous improvement of processes and systems as well as play a key role in talent development of your team.
You are degree qualified with relevant accounting experience in physical commodities trading businesses as well as team management experience. You are familiar with trade accounting concepts e.g. mark-to-market and have an understanding of trade finance. You are analytical, with an eye for details, and possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
