Senior Credit Analyst (Appraiser) | Malaysia
My client is a leading Asian Bank looking for a strong Credit candidate for a senior role within the Bank.
We welcome Malaysians who are looking to return to Malaysia to apply as well. Candidates should have strong Credit knowledge.
Responsibilities for the Senior Credit Appraiser (Analyst) role:
• Pick up credit issues and make independent judgment so as to provide an impartial analysis of the proposal submitted by the business promotion
• Possess the necessary credit skills on the front side as well so as to understand not only bank’s need for good quality credit
• To have understanding and working knowledge on handling and managing distressed assets and provide solution for workout.
• Understand importance of credit scoring and screen borrowers’ rating and at times evaluate proforma balance sheet
• Able to work resourcefully to look for information and data required for justification.
• Be a liaison for the relevant credit division and business unit to obtain approval.
• Monitoring for timely renewal of credit limits expiring, rating for renewals, covenant checking and credit monitoring on events/disaster news are among the task required.
Requirements for the Senior Credit Appraiser (Analyst) role:
- Strong degree in in Finance, Mathematics, Finance, Economics or a related field
- At least 5-7 years experience in the financial services sector; Credit Analyst, Credit Risk, Credit Approval or Credit Appraisal.
- Strong track record of analytical and credit experience
- Ability to identify problems, develop options and deliver solutions
- Strong communication skills and team working ability
- Experience with dealing with large to middle tier local corporates.
