Senior Financial Writer recruitment
Key responsibilities
- conducts research and creates impactful written content for client-facing brochures, web advertising, website content, emails, seminars, etc.
- conducts research and creates impactful written content for advisor-facing training materials, presentations, topical whitepapers, internal website content, emails, etc.
- edits and proofreads written communications created by others but relating to relevant financial products and services as well as market events and economic updates
- fully understands segment profiles, behaviours and needs with a view to ensuring messaging will resonate with the target audience and is appropriate for the specific medium or channel
- develops strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of efforts, accuracy of facts and impactful positioning around products and services.
- effectively communicates and positions products and services to highlight differentiation from competitors, based on positioning developed by Product Managers
- prepares a written summary of the information conveyed to advisors during conference calls hosted by the Chief Investment Officer
- continuously broadens knowledge about products, services and concepts relating to investments, the financial markets, estate and trust, insurance, banking, medical practice incorporation and other financial planning topics
- provides project management support for key initiatives requiring input from internal subject-matter experts

Experience and Knowledge
- Undergraduate degree in English, journalism or other related program
- 5+ years of experience in writing related to the financial/investment industry, financial products and services
- Proven oral and written communication skills
- Completion of financial industry courses is an asset
- Computer literate with solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications
