Senior Fund Accountant
The role-holder must ensure that information provided is consistent and accurate, that the information is collated and the analysis is completed to a high standard. In addition, the role holder also needs to ensure they are collated and executed in line with relevant UBS internal policies and procedures. This is a short term contract role.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of fund/client relationships (internal and external).
- Working closely with our custodian and auditor to resolve any audit queries for half year end and year end statutory audits
- Prepare Forms 5111, 388 and 7051 and lodge with ASIC
- Review of distribution calculations and resolve any review queries by liaising with portfolio managers and custodian
- Coordinate distribution funding requirements
- Review fund MER and liaise with external provider with inquiries.
- Liaise with auditors, ATO, ABS, ASIC
- Assist in the preparation and review of tax returns and Quarterly BAS
- Maintain and control all accounting positions for the assigned funds.
- Regular / daily reconciliation of fund positions.
- Liaise with auditors, including preparation of accounts and supporting schedule including for year end closing.
- Maintain shareholder registers and process all share transactions relative to funds.
Requirements
- Fund Accounting Experience or Asset Management accounting experience are essential
- Minimum 3+ years Post Qualified experience (CA or CPA)
- A strong understanding of accounting to taxable income is essential.
- Good time management and can manage conflicting deadlines
- Good understanding of the tax laws and aware their impacts on the latest developments
- Strong communication skills
- Medium to Advanced excel skills
