We are currently working with a substantial Agricultural commodities trading house, based in Australia, who are seeking a self-motivated grains marketing professional set up their business operation in order to meet target objectives and growth plans across the region. The candidate would be responsible for driving sales of Agri-commodities mainly across grains and oilseeds into Australia. The candidate should have a good knowledge of this market, a strong customer base and should have some key selling experience
Job Scope:
• Agricultural Commodity Marketer
• Responsible for sales of Grains + Related Products (Wheat, Barley, Soybeans, Soybean Meals, Corn, Oilseeds By-Products)
• Range of good industry contacts / manufactures / customers
• Responsible for setting up new office and business operations
• Driving Sales into Australia in order to achieve business objectives and sales targets
• Explore new markets and intensify sales opportunities for expansion and diversification
• Have destination management experience
• Have Origination experience
• Be willing to be based in Australia
• Be prepared for travelling to drive business forward.
• Strong Physical Commodity Knowledge
• Marketing, Merchandising, Sales and Purchases from origin
• Good understanding of US, South American Australian grains Market.
Requirements:
• Must Speak English
• 5 + years of Experience in the commodities / Agricultural industry is a must
• Highly numerate, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build long term sustainable relationships.
• Qualification: prefer to Degree in Marketing and Business
• Good sound working knowledge of the import and export process and contract terms
• Strong local contact base (Networks with buys and importing SBM from Argentina)
• Independent, decisive, passionate, entrepreneurial, willing to take on a challenge.
