Senior Manager / Manager / Assistant Manager, Product Specialist
HKEx operates the centralized securities and derivatives markets in Hong Kong; it is responsible for the front line regulation of listed issuers and for market surveillance. HKEx provides issuers with listing and securities trading services, participants with access to trading and clearing services, and investors with a regulated trading venue supported by information services.
Asia Commodities Department is responsible for development of the commodities franchise of the HKEx Group (including HKEx and LME) in Asia.
Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be based in Hong Kong and is expected to:
- participate in HKEx's commodities-related product development and projects
- conduct research, feasibility studies and business analysis
- consult the market players/clients about the potential products and collate and analyze feedback
- work with current team members to identify business opportunities within the global commodities industry, particularly in Asia
- engage strategic commodity partners by facilitating the development of licensing, partnerships and other collaboration vehicles
- work effectively with other internal parties and departments, including the LME, to leverage cross functional opportunities
Requirements:
- University degree in finance, business, economics or related disciplines
- At least 4-8 years’ experience in physical commodities and/or futures and for the Senior Manager level with 1-4 years at management experience
- Familiar with commodities products such as energy, bulks, softs and/or metals
- Excellent team work, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
- Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
- Product development or marketing experience in commodities is a plus
- Availability to travel
- Ability to work without supervision and under tight timeline
- Candidates will be considered for the respective positions with regard to the individual's qualifications and relevant working experience
