Senior Manager, Treasury Accounting recruitment
If successful you will be supervising a treasury operations team of 4 on daily cash flow monitoring and reporting; daily unit-linked funds trading activities and valuation; monthly record reconciliation with statements from custodians and fund managers.
You will also be managing an accounting operation team of 3 on accounts payable and fixed assets maintenance.
Finally you will have responsibility to maintain relationships with banks, fund managers, custodians and internal stakeholders.
In order for your application to be successful you will need to be/have;
Experience in treasury and investment operations with emphasis on securities/funds
Knowledge/experience in yield features, entitlements, settlement practices, investment laws, taxation and related accounting
Adequate exposure on risk management
Specialized skills and knowledge on investment securities including derivatives
Good knowledge of Canadian GAAP and US GAAP principles on investments
Knowledge on the financial services industry with banking and insurance as key components and exposure of banking rules and practices
Excellent interpersonal skills with good people management experience
Negotiation skills
Have Customer oriented mindset and know how to build Strategic Client Relationship
Decisiveness
5-7 years prior working experience in cash and liquidity management, investment administration with adequate exposure in fund valuation, securities and investment accounting with relevant experience in dealing with banks, brokers and custodians
