An outstanding opportunity with this multinational consultancy based in London has arisen due to the strong growth of this company over recent years. The company provide market, commercial and strategic consulting and advisory services to commodities markets.

The Role

Due to strong growth of this business over recent years an opportunity for a Senior Managing Consultant has arisen to join the London office. This position will report directly into the C.E.O of the business acting as a strong "number 2" managing a team of 50 individuals worldwide and taking on responsibilities in his absence. The core responsibilities of the role will involve developing a thorough understanding of the business process constantly looking for strategic improvements along every stage. Additionally, this individual will perform as the "project director" role in many projects outlining strategies and providing support for analysts and consultants throughout.

The position will combine lead management (including maintaining links with research, analytics and sales teams) and maintain strong working lines with both clients and stakeholders. The role will include proposal development through focusing on value and the shared vision of the business to ensure maximum profitability.

The position will include a strong focus on business development and develop client relationships with existing and potential clients including contract negotiation to ensure projects are delivered with complete satisfaction.

The Person

- Strong experience of managing a team within the management consultancy sector.

- Strong experience within the Commodities sector (Oil, Gas, Metals, Mining).

- Metals and Mining would be ideal but not essential.

- Experience of business development success.

- Bachelors and Postgraduate degrees in a technical subject (Maths, Economics or alike) from a Top Tier university.

- Strong written and verbal English skills along with a proven ability to form relationships.

- Analytical and strategic commercial mindset.
