Job Role: Senior Occupational Therapist (ASD Department)
Location: Doncaster - Commutable from: Sheffield, Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham, Wakefield
Salary: Circa £30,000 (Negotiable package for exceptional candidates)
Reports to: Director of Clinical Services / Clinical Lead ASD Team

Job Role / Key Accountabilities:

The post holder will be part of the multidisciplinary team which will provide services to adults who have autism spectrum conditions and learning disabilities. Primary job duties will include:
• Act as the named Occupational Therapist for identified patient(s), ensuring all aspects of care planning are implemented and reviewed
• To work alongside the nursing team in order to a deliver person centred approach
• To provide Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment in order to enable patients achieve their maximum level of independence, enhancing their sense of well-being.
• To ensure all reports and risk assessments are concise, accurate and clearly documented.
• To attend ward rounds, case conferences and additional patient meetings to ensure appropriate communication.
• To provide supervision and mentorship to junior staff
• To chair meetings such as morning handover and team meetings

Person Specification:

Interested applicants should please be aware of the following prior to registering their interest in this job:
• Registered HCPC Occupational Therapist status
• A diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy
• Prior experience gained within a relevant setting
• Ability to supervise a team and support as necessary
• Exceptional communication skills
• Problem solving abilities
• Demonstrates a “can-do” attitude
• Able to work in challenging environments

The post holder will be eligible for an excellent employment package which is negotiable.
