Senior Physical Palm Oil Trader
Senior physical palm oil trader, paper, futures, options, spreads, agricultural commodities, customer + supplier relationships, SE Asia focus, Location; Asia - Singapore:
We are currently working with a substantial Agricultural commodities trading house, based in Singapore, who are seeking a self-motivated Senior palm oil trader to join their operations in Singapore. The candidate would be responsible for initiating the physical and paper trading strategies for the company and driving the business forward with a focus on South East Asia. The candidate should have a good knowledge of this market and should have some key experience in the following;
• Agricultural Commodity / vegoil Complex (Palm Oil being the dominant product)
• Work closely alongside the Head of the Trading team
• Exposure to risk management – must demonstrate have managed risk.
• Paper trading with outright positions relative value spreads in various Futures exchanges.
• Trading Volatility and calendar spreads.
• Hedging of palm oils and products derivatives for physical pipeline
• Strong Physical / Derivatives Commodity Knowledge
• Position taking – futures, options
• Must have customer + Supplier relationships
• Experience working in a trading house and / or financial institution
• Be willing to be based in Singapore
• Be prepared for travelling to drive business forward.
• Must Speak English
• 6-8 + years of Industry experience in a commercially focused role
