The Senior Quality Engineer works cross-functionally to support product development, supply chain, and manufacturing, ensuring material, process, and product quality standards are achieved. The position will perform the responsibilities detailed below and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Provide project leadership.
- Provide technical advice and leadership to Material Quality Specialists.
- Provide Quality representation on product development Core Teams.
- Develop or contribute to development and maintenance of quality policies, practices, and standards.
- Manage the corrective action process using problem-solving skills to determine root cause. Eliminate non-conformances through application and assessment of short and long-term preventive actions.
- Apply appropriate statistical tools to assess material, process, and product quality conformance.
- Support the product development process prior to production release.
- Provide support to Purchasing in evaluating the technical specifications of materials and parts to ensure quality standards.
- Develop strategic relationships with new and existing suppliers to drive long-term improvement in quality and performance.
- Provide support to production on quality and reliability issues.
- Provide support to Customer Service on product quality-related concerns.
- Support and maintain ISO 9001 registration through daily work activities.
- Continuously pursue corrective and preventative measures on Datacard products and services.
- Halt processes that could adversely affect product or service quality.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of six years of related experience
- Desire to drive for excellent results in all facets of the job
- Highly organized and responsible, able to prioritize accordingly and adjust to changing initiatives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASQ Certification
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- Strong statistical aptitude.
- Advanced computer skills, including Oracle, Agile, SolidWorks, and Sharepoint.
