Senior Tax Manager
A Big4 Accountancy Practice in Reading are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join their Business Tax Advisory team.
The role includes responsibility for the building and maintaining of relationships with clients as well as the proactive winning of work and new clients. You will be charged with the successful delivery of technically complex and demanding consulting projects and will ensure that technical excellence is consistently maintained and a practical and business driven approach is taken. The quality of client service will be your responsibility. In addition, you will manage possible leads from other areas of the practice and to this end will build networks and relationships internally for the team to build on. You will also develop the team through supervising, coaching and mentoring and contribute to people initiatives, including retain and training international tax professionals. You will be involved in the management of the team both in terms of strategy and operations and through managing junior staff development and assignments.
You will be an ACA/CA/CTA or similar and have strong international tax technical skills. You will be client driven and strategically and commercially aware with strong client relationship management skills. You will be a skilled negotiator and have business development skills with the ability to identify and convert opportunities to sell work. Experience of coaching and developing junior staff is essential along with a with effective time management and ability to remain calm under pressure.
