Job Description
At tap tap tap we take a lot of pride in creating top-notch apps, such as Camera+, that are easy to use, powerful and beautiful. We are looking for a server developer to help us create our next generation of products with the potential to become major hits in the App Store. This is a person who is passionate about server development and iOS apps, who enjoys creating and learning, someone who has attention to detail, who enjoys writing beautiful, efficient and well-structured code and is happy working in a team of similar people. We have collaborators around the globe, from Scotland to China, from New Zealand to the USA. We organize ourselves into small, autonomous teams that are as self-sufficient and independent as possible. Working from home, you will be joining the server team. You'll help model high-performance databases (both SQL and of the no-SQL variety); will write code to normalize import data into them; will design and implement APIs to be used from iOS apps; and will plan and apply scalability procedures able to support millions of users.
Skills Requirements
We require that you have experience with - Ruby on Rails - Postgres and MySQL - Cassandra - Python, Node.js - REST APIs, JSON - AWS infrastructure - git We will also value knowledge about: - PHP - Lucene - iOS development
