We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst to join our Commodity Research team in Shanghai, which services the equity, LME trading and corporate advisory divisions of Macquarie. This is your opportunity to play an integral role in the growth of our business. As a senior member of our top-ranked team, you will be involved in generating reports that assist in our clients' investment decisions. Using your superior data analysis skills you will provide market intelligence and in-depth modelling of base metal markets within China, making use of an established network of contacts. The role will involve marketing of views, both over the phone and face-to-face, to Macquarie's institutional and corporate client base.
To be successful, you will:
- have at least 3 years of China commodities/base metals experience, in a Research or similarly analytical capacity;
- organise and accompany clients on marketing trips across China;
- have a background in economics or statistics, with strong and proven analytical and data handling skills;
- be a confident team player with a proven ability to build relationships;
- possess established sales and marketing capabilities;
- be able to build good relationships and enjoy communicating at all levels with sales teams and clients;
- be able to utilise your established network of contacts to gain insight;
- be a pro-active and creative individual coupled with a demonstrated entrepreneurial nature and a commercial focus;
- be fluent in Mandarin and have good English speaking and writing skills.
