Simulation Business Analyst

- General BA skill-set
o Has been through the full project life cycle from business requirements, functional specs, test preparation, test execution, and so on, up to go-live and business hand-over
o Excellent communication skills; ability to facilitate work-shops- working groups, etc; keen (internal) customer interaction with the relevant business project sponsors and business end-users
o Very good understanding of test management process in large IB infrastructure projects
o Comfortable with the typical system environment in an IB (trading systems, interfaces- data feeds, market and credit risk systems, reference data repositories for market data and customer legal data, finance and regulatory reporting systems, etc)
o Can structure complex or even unknown tasks and break into smaller deliverables
o Can reliably estimate effort involved in these tasks
o Good project status reporting skills
o Comfortable with "IB project speak" terminology and knows all the typical RR in IB projects
o (Typically this would require at least 4 years or more industry experience in IB)

- Product knowledge
o Very good product knowledge in OTC derivatives.
o High level understanding of the trade life cycle (trade data attributes, product ageing, trade events and clauses such as breaks). High level understanding of the trade process (from FO to the various down-stream functions, i.e. market risk systems, credit risk systems, accounts- finance, especially collateral systems, etc)
- Risk - generalist Risk BA knowledge
o Good understanding of the main risk factors of OTC derivatives. What are the key risk categories to which OTCD are exposed?
- Credit risk and reporting- generalist Credit risk BA knowledge
o Understanding of the basic credit process in capital markets products
o Credit lines and excess management
o Differences of market risk, issuer credit risk, counterparty credit risk, etc
- Counterparty credit risk - slightly more specialised knowledge for a BA in a CCR project
o Different types of risk (exposure risk, default risk, CVA risk; similarities, differences)
o Different approaches to measuring exposure risk (MTM+Addon models, IMM models, Alpha, etc)
o Strong understanding of all the relevant (functional) components of a Monte Carlo CCR system
- Specialist knowledge - Credit risk simulation (OTC and ETD)
o Scenario simulation models: Monte Carlo, Historical Sim, possibly parametric models
o Good understanding what scen sim models need to do in market risk (VAR) as opposed to c
