Software Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- · Develop new customized software solutions or technically enhancing / adapting software using an object oriented approach for use within a J2EE System Architecture using agile software development methodology (Scrum)
- · Develop data models and database programming together with our database architects
- · Requirements analysis together with our business customers (co-located on trading floor)
- · Provide consultancy services in system architectures and application design to the team
- · Perform technical project management (activity planning, capacity planning, progress monitoring)
- · Module testing and code reviewing of the developed software
- · Create technical and/or business focussed test cases based on business requirements and the technical design
- · Development following industry coding standards and provision of code API documentation in HTML format using the Javadoc Tool
- · Define region-specific standards and methods for the development environment (e.g. tools, coding standards, build process, configuration management)
- · Provide consultancy services / close cooperation while the software release process into our production environment to our support / operations department
Work experience requirements:
- · Min 1 to 3 years experience with developing software in distributed project teams using J2SE (Core Java, Hibernate, JDBC, Java Swing) for the senior role
- · Min 1 or 3 (senior role) years experience developing multi-threaded, concurrent applications, including code analysis and performance tuning / profiling of real-time, high-volume, low-latency (trading) systems
- · For the senior role a good understanding of eFX trading processes as well as of technical architectures in this domain is a prerequisite
- · Wide experience in Programming Languages (JAVA) and Development Tools (Ant, Cruise Control, JUnit)
- · Proficient knowledge of Databases (SYBASE) and Unix scripting
- · Banking Know-how / FX experience is a preferred
