The company
Our client is a global plc and one of the most successful IT solutions and services providers to high value engineering projects. Over the last decade they have grown significantly, through both strategic acquisition and organic growth and hold a dominant position in many on and off shore markets, primarily within Oil and Gas, Marine, Power, Chemicals, Mining and Minerals.
The role
Due to this continued success they are now seeking to appoint an experienced Solutions Consultant with a Software integration focus. Key responsibilities will include: directing the successful delivery of complete solutions from the initial requirements capture to the delivery of a completed software solution, demonstrating leadership in the management of multiple project work streams, monitoring workload and performance, and motivating project team members to achieve a successful project delivery.
To be considered for this role you should have experience in the following;
- a minimum of 5 years’ experience of solution delivery working in the Services organisation of Software providers operating in the CAD, Document Management or Information Management markets
- technical sales delivery, able to offer technical knowledge to support the sales team
- possess substantial experience of the complete project lifecycle for medium-scale solution delivery projects to include: scope, requirements, conceptualisation, design, build, test, training and roll-out
- operates effectively as a member of a dynamic team within a matrixed organisation, often working across multiple countries and time zones
- flexible to travel within the EMEA region and potentially more widely to perform project delivery and consultancy tasks
- a good working knowledge of the Oil Gas Industry or similar heavy engineering
- possess a broad IT knowledge to include: software design and development expertise in one of more current languages; relational database theory and physical design; experience of most common architectures and integration techniques; very good knowledge of client and server platforms; understands complementary technologies and applications and their integration; hosted deployment models
- an understanding of: C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server development, xml
- can articulate the benefits of a Class Library and can define its structure and mapping techniques
- understands the concepts of ISO 15926 and its importance to the industry
- possesses excellent written and spoken English skills
- creates high quality, concise, clear documentation in support of Proposals and Projects
- demonstrates good presentation skills and is able to present proposals or solutions to customers at director level and above. Comfortable presenting to large audiences, such as user groups
