Specialist Petrochemicals Commodities Sales (Platts)
Job Description
- Understand the relationship of Petro Chemical key accounts have historically had and the information requirements within a complex multi-functional customer base. Strategically understand the Platts sales organization and resources, familiarize with colleagues and understand Platts sales channels and sales objectives and means.
- Participate in planning and executing account management schedule and detailed action plan. Understand key deliverables. Meet and exceed the assigned net sales goal as well as other customer metrics.
- Process contracts through the appropriate workflow within the CRM system.
- Net sales quota shall be met by growing current account portfolio spending on current products by increasing license agreements, volume of readers (usage) through the prescribed systems and processes. Grow new Petro Chemical sales by value/volume, through cross-selling and increasing spent on Platts products as and where deemed appropriate. Address and/or escalate all customer issues and concerns.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with our customers and selling partners, including extensive travel to client sites for sales and relationship building. Attend sales marketing conferences, events, roundtables, workshops and forums to promote Petro Chemical products.
- Maintains CRM activity log, monthly reports, accurate forecasting. Also maintains account plan and profile while identifying potential risk and opportunities for Petro Chemical business within the account.
Qualifications
- Must hold Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
- Experience of B2B sales and account management experience in the Petchem and/or energy industry with a track-record of exceeding sales targets, adding new customer logos and maintaining a high-level of customer satisfaction.
- Strong solution-selling background with proven experience in maximizing customer value and minimizing customer churn through coordinated account planning both internally and externally.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, Excel, DB and PPT) and Internet.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills. Demonstrated strong relationship building with customers. Strong oral and written skills are required to enable effective communications at all levels within the company and with customers.
- Experienced negotiator, demonstrating logical, argumentative and consultative skills. Ability to interact at the highest level of decision making.
- Ability to independently acquire knowledge of industry and products
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the territory
