Strategy Manager, Retail Banking
Our client is a leading UK retail bank, who are now looking to recruit a strategy manager into their team.
The focus of the role will to lead the identification, analysis and execution of strategic actions and projects that have a substantial impact on both short and medium term financial and operational performance of the business align with the wider bank strategy and vision.
The position will have a lot of interaction with business units and is a commercial role. The opportunity is not a 'blue sky' strategic role, but will focus more on the development of the business overall. The type of project you might work on would be the development of operations target operating model and branch operating models. You will also ensure strategies result in increased efficiency and / or reduced cost while maintaining or improving customer experience.
Candidates will have a background as follows:
- Strategy or management consultants with major consulting firms
- Excellent experience in corporate strategy, organisational development, internal shaping and infrastructure
- Probably, the successful candidate will have 5 years + experience although the successful individual could have significantly more
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work effectively with cross functional teams
- Financial services experience useful although not essential
