Sugar Analyst; London; Leading International Commodities Trading Firm
The role will see you working closely with the Trading Team helping to determine the group’s investment activity within the sugar industry. You will join the global research team and will work directly with the Head of Research to develop sugar supply and demand models for various regions globally.
The role will see you assuming primary responsibility for:
- Track, monitor and analyse sugar data (including trade flows, regional demands and forecasting)
- The Research team works closely with the trading desk, necessitating strong communication skills and the effective communication of trading ideas.
- Examine price fluctuations domestically and internationally
- Produce regular Trend Analysis – prices, premiums, freights and production
- Monitor volatility, support and resistance levels
The role will offer strong progression opportunities either within the Commodities Research team or into the Trading Team. Candidates must display a strong track record of research specifically concerning the sugar markets. The role will work directly under the Head of Research, so will require independence, quick thinking and adaptability.
