·         St. Luke’s Hospital is seeking a Part Time Weekend Supervisor to join our Admitting Department team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·         Providing logistics and technical support to all Admitting Department clerical and administrative staff

·         Orienting and training clerical staff on an ongoing basis; performing reconciliation of all department logs

·         Performing cash reconciliation on a daily basis and submitting monthly report.

·         Visiting each unit daily to assess bed availability

·         Ensuring that patients are admitted quickly and courteously and are provided with appropriate information about the hospital at the time of their admission

·         Ensuring all admissions, transfers and discharges are processed online as they occur

·         Ensures beds are utilized efficiently to maximize the census while establishing correct bed geography

·         Assisting the Director and Associate Manager in the preparation and monitoring of the department budget.

·         Assisting the Director in maintaining JCAHO standards documentation, performing quality improvement activities, and monitoring and reporting same.

 

Requirements include:

 

High School Graduate or GED and computer skills, strong communication skills and 2 years of Admitting experience or equivalent
