Supply Chain Projects Specialist Job in Hampshire, Southern UK

The supply chain projects specialist will manage specific projects based on manufacturing operations requirements. This is a hands-on position responsible for developing and executing project and inventory plans that will enable the division (Titchfield) to meet sales and service objectives. Collaboration with other members of the supply chain, engineering, commercial, planning, quality and customer support teams is paramount to achieve these sales and service objectives whilst driving to drive supplier performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities
 The creation and execution of project work plans as appropriate to meet the needs of the project.
 Management of the day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
 The identification of resources needed and assigning individual responsibilities.
 To perform regular reviews of project deliverables and delivery a project reporting structure.
 Minimizes any exposure and risk on a project.
 Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
 Taking a supplier focus approach and ensure all strategic and tactical issues are addressed
 Ensure key supplier improvement initiatives are adhered to and driving improvement through key metrics
 Support cost reduction targets in full liaison with the strategic procurement team.
 To open up and encourage cross functional dialogue with all areas of the business.

Experience required
 Operational experience within an aerospace/ complex engineering environment.
 Can demonstrate strong leadership and team working skills.
 A proven track record in communicating effectively with stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
 You will have a proven track record of successful project management and will display a high degree of personal dynamism and pro-activity.

Qualifications required

 Recognised operational qualifications such as an HNC in manufacturing, quality or procurement.
 Excellent IT skills.
 Thorough knowledge/understanding of complex MRP systems
