Purpose of Role:

The Talent Acquisition function at State Street is the internal function dedicated to identifying and sourcing talent for State Street.

The Talent Acquisition Recruiter will be aligned to manage and execute all of the internal and external recruitment activity for one of the Banks business lines.  

Scope of Role:

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition supervisors covering ‘the location(s)’ the Talent Acquisition Recruiter will develop close working relationships with business managers, Talent Acquisition team members, HR business partners and wider HR colleagues. The Talent Acquisition Recruiter will manage all aspects of the recruitment process from validation of headcount approval through to day 1 of employment for the new hire. State Street operates a direct sourcing model which requires the Talent Acquisition Recruiter to proactively utilise direct sourcing channels and methods whilst continuously identifying new and innovative sourcing approaches. A key component of the role will be proactively advising the business on acquiring talent and candidate pipelining initiatives.

Responsibilities:

The Talent Acquisition Recruiter will be responsible for end to end recruiting for a State Street business area. To deliver this, the successful candidate will:

•Consult with Business Leaders on current and future talent acquisition needs

•Assist in creating and implementing a holistic recruiting strategy encompassing all levels for assigned businesses to support hiring goals

•Utilize targeted direct sourcing strategies, screening methods and selection tools to ensure consistent results and high quality hires

•Partner with HR Business Partners and other members of the Talent Acquisition team to identify, attract and hire “best in class” talent

•Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates to support continuous recruiting in the marketplace

•Track and report recruiting statistics and maintain recruiting system with a high level of integrity and accuracy

•Manage vendor relationships with external recruiting agencies where necessary and minimize utilization of agencies by employing other lower cost and effective sourcing tools and channels

•Actively participate in global talent acquisition and HR initiatives and promote leading practices

•Assist in providing guidance and mentoring to team members, sharing knowledge and supporting their development and effectiveness

•Participate in graduate recruiting activities as required

Qualifications, Experience Profile:

•Educated to degree level or equivalent

•Strong experience in a financial services in house recruiting role with demonstrated responsibility for full life cycle recruiting or strong agency recruitment experience with specific focus on financial services sectors

•Ideally experience in a search firm or recruitment agency environment with proven cold calling / headhunting, market mapping and candidate management experience

•Proven experience in recommending and using a variety of effective sourcing strategies (with both domestic and international success) to assist in the development of a diverse pipeline of candidates

•Strong track record in consulting with senior business leaders and managers on the talent acquisition process

•Demonstrated knowledge of behaviorally based interviewing techniques

•Strong analytical skills

•Ideally a second language e.g. French, German, Italian or Spanish

•Self starter, flexible and adaptable to constant change with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment

•Customer service driven with strong organizational and project management skills

•Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, preferably E-Recruit (PeopleSoft)

•Proficiency with MS Office applications

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•Proven dependability; committed to working as a trusted team member
