Technical Account Manager (with IT support background) recruitment

Our client has a opening for a Technical Account Manager to take responsibility for a large number of clients across London and Europe. The majority of support for these clients will be carried out over the phone although there will be “on site” support and user training as you become more familiar with their range of products.

During the first 6 months of taking this position you will be provided with full and comprehensive training including the opportunity to “shadow” one of the senior account managers therefore receiving comprehensive “on the job” training.

Once your training is complete as well as fielding incoming calls and dealing with technical issues from clients you will also be expected to perform a proactive role in calling existing client s to discuss performance issues, training requirements and the potential introduction of other products and services. Your role will also include managing a number of client related projects.

This role would suit a bright outgoing and technically minded individual who has spent 3-4 years in an IT support capacity within a Bank, Hedge Fund, Exchange or IT Systems Vendor.

You should be smart, articulate, and ambitious with a strong interest in the financial markets and the technology that supports the trading environment. This will be an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a more client facing position with great career development.
