Technical Conformance - Sanctions Assurance - Group Legal Compliance - London
My client, a top tier banking group, is seeking a technical conformance specialist to be a part of the sanctions assurance team. The successful candidate will be joining a newly established, d ynamic team with the responsibility of planning, executing and managing technical conformance reviews. You will be expected to ensure the quality of the reviews and guarantee their effectiveness and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and scope the business and technical conformance reviews
• Provide oversight and guidance to group compliance assurance managers
• Review existing technology and sanctions screening systems
• Support management in identifying solutions for control issues and non-compliance to policy
• Ensure conformance reviews progress as planned, on time and within budget
• Keep abreast of regulatory developments and changing risk issues and amend reviews as necessary
Skills/Requirements
• Deep experience in a Sanctions and Regulatory Compliance risk review/assurance role
• Track record of implementing technical sanction screening systems
• Good understanding of SQL queries and data analytics
• Excellent communications skills at all levels -knowledge of system coding beneficial
• Flexibility for travel up to 50% - both UK and in relevant business areas globally
