Technical Project Manager – Payments recruitment
Our client is a global financial institution with a significant presence across the Asia Pacific region that offers a range of specialist products and services to their institutional clients and investors alike.
Job Description
The role is a Team Leader within the IT Trade and Remittance Team. The role will encompass the management of end-to-end system implementations as well as the management of enhancements and on-going production support of existing systems.
The candidate is required to
- Lead a team of perm/contract staff to deliver projects/change requests on time, within budget and meet users' expectation (with/without vendor package and support)
- Responsible to manage pre-project activities such as RFI/RFP/POC and provide update/recommendation for Management information and endorsement
- Responsible to provide timely, efficient and effective maintenance and support to critical application systems
- Responsible for resource/task planning budgeting
- Responsible for timely delivery of impact analysis, functional specifications and technical specifications
- Responsible for source code review and ensure quality testing prior to UAT
- Work with user on UAT plan schedules
- Prepare presentation material to escalate all issues risks to Management for decision and approval
- Update management on project status regularly
- Monitor and track all work/activities done by the project/BAU team
- Supervise, guide and train team member to achieve division/department/team objectives
Experience required:
- At least 10 years of relevant experience with a proven track-record of successful banking project implementations.
- Strong product knowledge on remittance, SWIFT, local payment/clearing.
- Implement and support applications in one of these environments with/without regional deployment experience:
- AS400 COBOL/RPG/CLP/DB2 skills
- Unix - Weblogic/Tomcat web servers(J2EE architecture), Oracle DB, PL/SQL, Unix shell scripting, C and Java
- Ability to provide technical solution, training, guidance support to colleagues so that they can execute tasks effectively to meet project team's objectives.
