Trade Floor Support Specialist recruitment
The role
Flow Traders heavily invests in the development of state-of-the-art trading software In order to maximize our performance and facilitate our international expansion. We are looking for a skilled Trading Application Support Specialist who likes to be a part of a rapidly expanding international organisation.
You act as the go-to guy and provide direct technical support to our traders. You need to respond quickly to any issues that affect mission critical (front-end to back-end) trading applications and general office applications. We are looking for a strongly motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mind-set who likes to work in a fast paced organisation where 100% uptime is key.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1st to 3rd level technical support in regards to System Engineering, Front-Office Development and troubleshooting Trading, in-house, third–party and general application issues;
- Install Configure and Maintain, Optimize and Support of Mission Critical Trading applications and general office applications;
- Liaise with 3rd Party Vendors
- Incident Management, Monitoring and Administration of trading applications and IT Infrastructure components.
Your profile
- 3-5 years experience in a similar working environment
- Knowledge of the Trading Life Cycle is a definite advantage
- Strong working knowledge of Linux / Unix Server environments
- Working knowledge with Trading Systems / Market data Applications
- A background in System Engineering
- Knowledge of Windows OS, XP, Server 2003-2008
- Affinity with scripting languages e.g. Shell, Perl, batch and development languages (Java / C++)
- Understanding of and the ability to configure performance based systems (100% uptime)
- Strong English communication skills
- Self starter; highly organized and a high sense of urgency.
