Trade Support Confirmations Analyst

Our client, a global bank is recruiting a role within the Rates function which performs a variety of key Trade / Sales support controls and tasks for the EMEA Rates team.

The role works in conjunction with a team designed to ensure that all trades are confirmed on Trade date, and the role would involve timely confirmation of a population of internal trades and liaising with different areas and regions of the Bank
The products in scope for this role are: all OTC Rate products (IRS, FRA, Basis Swaps) and Non OTC Rate products (Futures, Bond Futures)

The successful candidate would be expected to learn the products, systems and flows inherent in each internal business model. And by building up a solid working knowledge of this process the candidate would be expected feed back and assist the middle office roll out their strategic objectives

Other responsibilities may include:

Front Office to Operations relationship communication. The perception the Rates businesses have of Operations is a fundamental factor to the success of the department.

Ownership of the Front Office to Operations relationship communication. The perception the Rates business have of Operations is a fundamental factor to the success of the department.

The interface between our Operations and Front Office client base. Specifically, the ownership of any queries raised by Operations - identifying, analysing and actioning relevant problem/s through to a timely resolution. This will require an understanding, from a time and risk point of view, of both the ‘downstream’ settlement and confirmation issues faced by Operations, and, the ‘upstream’ booking and position issues faced by the Front Office.

The successful applicant will need a strong understanding of the various novation protocols and procedures

The client would be looking for a candidate who has:
Graduated with a desirable 2:1 or above
Minimum of 6 months experience in similar Trade Support/control Function
Numerate and analytical – Including a solid understanding of the basic tools of MS Excel
Strong interpersonal skills are required in order to build a wide and strong network both in Ops and the Front Office.
