Trading Risk and PnL Book Runner recruitment

Role Summary:

The Risk and PL teams are responsible for producing T0 and or T1 daily profit-and-loss and risk reports for their respective trading desk. They ensure that figures are validated based on existing controls and the PL is properly explained/substantiated. Any manual adjustments posted are feed through to the relevant Transaction Accounting team as part of their daily/monthly reconciliation processes

Trading Risk PL roles have the following common characteristics:

*Producedaily profit and loss for the business unit/trading center.
*Provide necessary transparency of controls done either for quality assurance or for final validation and control performance.
*Obtain necessary sign-off from Front-Office (Traders) of the reported PL
*Participate in CTB initiatives of the team as well as domain-wide.
*Liaise with different support teams for escalation and remediation of daily issues encountered
*Work with GBS Transaction Services, Transaction Accounting and Business Control to understand/complete trade-to-book process of a transaction.
*Work withdifferent stakeholders to improve existing processes and outputs.
*The key distinction between a general and a complex business area is the underlying products and the complexity thereof. In exceptional circumstances there may be system and/or process deficiencies that may result in a business area being classed as complex.

Key Responsibilities:

*Perform data integrity checks and/or reviews breaks and ensures properly dealt with in the PL process.
*Provides PL and risk reports for QA reviews, and ensures all review points are cleared on a timely basis.
*Liases with and obtains trader sign-off for final PL, ensuring queries are answered or escalated on a timely basis.
*Prepares EOD reports (PL and PIPs etc) for review and submission to stakeholders.
*Provides inputs into the capture of daily KRI's around Risk and PL reporting.
*Liases with other GBS teams (i.e. TMG/TS) to ensure breaks are cleared on a timely basis.
*Escalates any aging and/or contentious issues in daily reports and to direct supervisor.
*Performs any UAT requirements on their processes.

You will have:

*A proven track record in Financial Services / Product Control.
*A Business or Accountancy based degree, with Flash role having a more Mathematical / *Engineering / IT focused degree. For both further relevant studies and/or a Masters is an advantage.
*Enhanced technical knowledge and appreciation for the FTB process and control environment
*Good Stakeholder Management skills.
*Good communication skills, fluent in English (written/verbal).
