Training Consultant, Operations recruitment

The Global Functional Training Team (GFT) provides innovative training solutions through consultative services and by designing and supporting learning products that positively impact Operations' outcomes. The Global Functional Training Team supports this integrated approach through the development and delivery of instructor-led, online and distance learning and global learning tools and services.

Role

This role is working 21 hours per week.

As a member of Functional Training, the individual filling the Consultant, Training position will work collaboratively with team members to deliver training solutions on various processes. Under general direction, the Training Consultant defines learning and organizational development objectives that support articulated business outcomes. Designs, develops and delivers learning solutions. Analyzes learning and organizational development solutions for continuous improvement. Undertakes appropriate operational and administrative aspects of program management.

Major Duties:

•   Works with management, learning consultants and/or subject matter experts to understand desired business needs and translate them into departmental learning objectives.

•   Works with stakeholders to determine appropriate learning methods and solutions.

•   Collaborates with subject matter experts to develop learning project plans.

•   Develops and facilitates/delivers learning and development programs according to management priorities.

•   Maintains a departmental inventory of training materials.

•   Evaluates training and organizational development programs for effectiveness and makes recommendations for improvements.

•   Serves as a key expert in program design and subject matter.

Area Specific Duties:

•   Design and develop curriculum for various areas within Functional Training which can be implemented and delivered regardless of geographic location.

•   Coordinate/deliver curriculum, within your location and remotely to other geographic locations.

•   Design and deliver training for existing systems and new system roll-outs.

•   Ensure that Functional learning and development interventions are aligned with Business Unit and/or enterprise-wide needs.

•   Consult with business partners to provide ongoing support.

•   Work collaboratively with other Functional Training teams.

Knowledge/Skills and Experience Required:

An experienced professional willing to quickly learn all aspects of Operations’ business.

Requirements include:

•   Instructional training skills in design, facilitation, development and evaluation and proficiency with Microsoft office

•   Good analytical skills

•   Strong project management skills and ability to work well under pressure

•   Ability to work with all levels of staff

•   Self starter and team player

•   Attention to detail

•   Training consultant experience or relevant business experience

Candidates might be asked to submit a technical writing sample, either procedures or training documentation or develop and present a short training session.
