Transactions Product Solutions Delivery Manager

We provide corporate banking solutions to businesses with an annual turnover of more than £5 million in the UK, and to large local companies, financial institutions and multinationals in non-UK markets. We support the success and growth of our clients by providing lending, risk management, cash and liquidity management, trade finance, and asset and sales financing.
Main Function:
- End-to-end delivery of new product development for Transactions product solutions.
- Key aspects of the role include:
- End-to-end development ownership of new solutions across all Corporate Banking markets through the engagement of stakeholders and suppliers both inside and outside of the Barclays Group;
- Support Corporate Banking's Product Managers, Origination, Coverage teams as part of the introduction of these new propositions across related Corporate Banking sites and markets.
Main Responsibilities:
Delivery of New Products: (80%)
- Delivery of agile or waterfall-based New Product Development initiatives, managing internal external stakeholders to deliver against the Transactions product / Global Cash Management strategy.
- Budgetary responsibility throughout the Product Development Delivery Lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with relevant Product (Commercial) Managers, Technology and Operational functions (within Corporate Banking, the wider Barclays Group and 3rd Party Solution Providers) to ensure that requirements meet clients evolving needs and are best aligned to current and planned Corporate Banking IT capabilities and innovation as well as those of relevant suppliers (internal and external to Corporate Banking);
- Responsibility for ensuring that all Transactions solutions, projects, deliverables keep pace with relevant changes to regulatory requirements and codes of practices across all Corporate Banking's markets, and for maintaining and adhering to the Bank's robust governance framework, incorporating standards such as, but not limited to, the New Product Approval process.
- Managing both internal and external suppliers to ensure delivery of new Transactions solutions and enhancements to time and budget and acceptable commercial terms.
- Co-ordinate / evaluate all relevant testing activity as part of the Product Development Delivery Lifecycle, ensure development change activity is robust and that it lands effectively, without disruption to our business and without negative impact to our clients.
- Plan implement the transfer from Project-to-Operational "run" mode e.g. Business As Usual.
Stakeholder Management (20%)
- Develop maintain strong relationships with key Corporate Banking and Barclays Group stakeholders to ensure; (i) they are well and timely informed of the New Product Development and Delivery agenda and have the opportunity to provide comment / input on approach at relevant stages of the process (ii) ensure that all external dependencies are understood and managed effectively in order that a holistic view of all development and delivery is maintained and that the totality of associated risks are understood and mitigated.
- Obtain regular feedback from key customers/stakeholders to ensure that the Transactions solutions meet/exceed their expectations.
Person Requirements:
Essential:
New Product Development Delivery: expertise in development delivery processes, methodologies, input into strategy validation, concept creation, product introduction and commercialisation.
Solutioning: business analysis, business process architecture definition and requirements engineering. Expertise in problem definition resolution via qualitative quantitative analysis, root-cause identification, solution definition, impact assessment, prioritisation, delivery approach definition and implementation.
Change Management: highly commercial and dynamic Product Delivery / Product Change Management capabilities including solution selection, product development, deployment, testing and implementation, and associated operational and business transformation activity.
Preferred:
- Understanding of financial management/budget and planning processes;
- Understanding of Coverage Model, Corporate Banking structures teams and the wider Barclays group;
- Analysis, creativity and innovation - able to conceive original and practical solutions to complex and business critical problems;
- Understand the interface relationships stakeholders, partners and suppliers;
- Track record in delivering to within an Agile or waterfall, responsive, framework;
- Ability to define, manage and execute complex/inter-related projects deliverables;
- Experience in stakeholder management to a senior level;
- Good understanding of project management disciplines, frameworks and techniques;
- Good understanding of multiple New Product Development and Delivery methodologies, techniques;
- Strong commercial judgment and overall understanding of the Financial Services Industry;
- Results driven approach to execution;
- Awareness of the external Corporate Banking marketplace;
- A positive and "can do" approach;
- Ability to see beyond the status quo and think laterally
