Treasury Risk Manager
- I have been retained by a leading Bank to recruit for a Treasury Risk Manager based in Belfast responsible for supporting the CRO in meeting business and regulatory requirements specifically in the area of treasury risk, namely bank credit risk, liquidity risk and market risk.
Duties
Monitor, challenge and analyse bank risk on an ongoing basis and provide expert analysis and commentary for distribution and presentation to the appropriate committees.
Responsible for the review, monitoring and reporting on treasury risk limits, including breach escalation in line with policy.
- Responsible for annual Treasury Credit Policy review.
- Responsible for the development, implementation and enhancement of treasury risk reporting and monitoring including stress testing and scenario analysis.
- Preparation of briefings, project updates, committee papers and other relevant information to UK CRO, Senior Management Team, Risk Committees and relevant regulatory authorities.
- Responsible for the design, implementation and execution of adhoc 2nd line of defence reviews of UK Treasury and UK business areas to ensure appropriate risk mitigation and management in line with treasury risk policies.
- Responsible for the delivery of treasury risk projects, as required.
- Analysis, interpretation and dissemination of upstream risk developments from regulatory and other international bodies (FSA, Basel Committee, European Union, CEBS etc.) as applicable to Treasury Risk areas.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of effective treasury risk management frameworks.

- Development and maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimal 5 years banking experience required.
- Strong academic background with a good primary degree / appropriate professional qualification, ideally in a numerate/business discipline.
- Excellent proficiency in Excel, Access and PowerPoint, particularly aggregation and effective presentation of large volumes of data and information.
- Strong business acumen, possibly gained from finance or risk function experience.
- Understanding of risk management approaches, including risk measurement techniques, MI and reporting framework.
- Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills.
- Well developed influencing and networking skills and credibility to work effectively with wider Risk and Business teams.
Desirable Key Requirements:
- Knowledge of the key treasury risk metrics.
